Great Barrier Island activities
|
Enjoy a bush walk
Native bush covers the majority of Great Barrier Island and there are
plenty of bush tracks to walk. Take a short walk on level ground,
venture a little further and experience the Kaitoki Hot Springs, or
hike to the summit of Mount Hobson two thousand feet above sea level.
From Mt Hobson most of Great Barrier island can be seen and there is a
breath taking view west across the Hauraki Gulf to Mainland New
Zealand, north to the out lying island groups, and south-east to the
Coromandel Peninsula, Mercury Islands, and Cuvier Island.

Go Kayaking
Enjoy the use of our kayaks for fun and adventure. Explore the harbour
and discover things you wouldn't otherwise see.
|
|
Take one of our fishing trips
Whether land based or from our boat, we have years of experience and
know the good fishing spots. We will ensure that you get a trip suited
to your experience and requirements. When you've caught it, we can
clean and cook your fish if you don't want to do this yourself.
